Spend Your Autumn and Winter Vacations in Asia!

Updated: Oct 3, 2023

From Indonesia to Japan, Asia is a very popular choice for travelers in the autumn and winter time.

Here are 4 reasons why traveling to Asia is best this time of year:

1. It’s less expensive than in the summertime

Summertime is peak travel season for Asia, so the fall and winter are considered off-season. Therefore, flights, accommodations, and other travel costs are generally lower during this time.

2. There are fewer tourists

Off-season means fewer tourists, so many areas of interest will be less crowded and therefore probably more enjoyable! Plus, you’ll get better pictures since there’ll be less people photobombing you in the background.

3. The weather is more pleasant

The fall/winter time in Asia is generally the dry season, meaning less rainfall. Many Asian countries are prone to monsoons, so the dry season means fewer travel hazards caused by such extreme conditions. Of course, Asia is a vast continent and the weather conditions vary from region to region, and from country to country. Consult with one of our travel specialists about the best months to visit the specific destination you’re interested in.

4. Nature looks particularly beautiful with the gorgeous fall foliage

Who doesn’t love seeing the gorgeously vibrant red, orange, and yellow leaves in the autumn - especially when they frame the beautiful historic and cultural sites and landscapes of Asia! Take a stroll along the red-colored cherry blossoms in Japan while taking in the view of Mt. Fuji, or trek the Great Wall of China with the orange and yellow trees on either side of you.

Some of the amazing Asian destinations we recommend visiting this time of year are the following:

  • Thailand

  • Sri Lanka

  • Vietnam

  • Malaysia

  • Japan

  • China

  • South Korea

  • Singapore

  • India

  • Indonesia
