Airlines are known for their strict cancellation guidelines, but they're being more lenient than ever due to the COVID-19 health crisis. Here are some policy changes they've made for the time being:
Cancellation Policy
Airlines are issuing air credit for those travelers with flights until May 31. These credits are usually valid for 1-2 years from your booking date.
Those clients with flights in the summer should still wait until closer to their travel dates as most airlines have not yet issued refund credits for those departures.
American Airlines
- Blocked 50% of their air inventory to ensure social distancing on aircraft.
- No pets allowed due to uncertainty of cancellations
- Limited food and beverage service for the safety of travelers
