A wonderful Costa Rican dish to try is arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) which is served with a variety of different vegetables from the country including camote, chayote and yuca. With the Pacific and the Caribbean bordering the country, tasty seafood dishes are a must too.  Another specialty is the tamale, a seasoned corn meal covered in plantain leaves and stuffed with rice, beans, vegetables and meat. Traditional sweet corn dishes like pozol (corn soup) or chorreadas (corn pancakes) are delicious too.
